From Ryan : I remember first seeing this short on TV as a special when I was a kid. It was aired along with another Disney short called Ben and Me. There is no dialogue in this short (with the exception of the narrator who also voices Winnie the Pooh). Most of the humor is based on actions of the characters as in many of the Disney shorts. I find several of the scenes funny such as the duck and wolf chasing each other under/above the ice. A fun cartoon, but not really one of my favorites.

From Tim : I own a copy of this classic. I love the story and Music. The short is well done. The wolf is sooo Evil looking. Yikes. Another film with The Disney Magic.

From Ben Schumin : Peter and the Wolf actually was originally conceived by Disney for use in a second Fantasia movie that was scrapped because the original Fantasia initially flopped (it didn't really take off until the 60's). I'm glad to see it made it into "Make Mine Music." Additionally, as a child, I was always surprised that whoever did it (I think it was the bird) wrote "BONK" in the snow. It wasn't until later that I learned that it was actually using the Cyrillic alphabet vs. the Roman alphabet.

From Julie M. Riley : This had to be one of the greatest shorts I've ever saw. And I thought Sasha spelling the word, "Wolf" in Russian was one of the highlights, as was the funny ice chasing with Sonya and the wolf.

From Steve Price : This move should receive a 10 as one of the all time classics. As a child I had the story on 78 record and played it so much the sound is almost gone. I hope more kids could and will see it and enjoy the story and film and remember it all through their life.

From Baruch Weiss : This short is ok but it really is not one of my favorites. I remember first seeing it on those "Mini Classics" videos and following it were 2 cartoons, Music Land and Symphony Hour which made the video worth watching.

From Magen : The wolf in this movie gives me nightmares! When he snarls his teeth I want to cry! It's awesome!

I have many versions of it and that one is definitely my students favorite as well. They are always glued to the TV and totally into the story and music. Glad it is still around. A classic.

From Sonia : Wonderful film. Great sense of humor and animation! The educational portion of the short that introduces the characters and the instruments that represent them really adds to it and makes the viewer appreciate the music even more. Love it!

From Sandy : When I was growing up we kids would sit in front of the TV in our little rocking chairs in our little monogrammed Mickey Mouse ears and our shirts (not exactly like the ones appeared on the "Mickey Mouse Club") we sat and watched The Wonderful World of Disney every weekend just to see if "Spin and Marty" made up." However my favorite short was Peter and the Wolf. Not only it was a cute movie but it was educational as well and it made me appreciate music even more.

From Brian Jolseth : Favorite memories of childhood were listening to Peter and the Wolf on our phonograph in the early 1950's. The suspense of not having the video made it so much better because our minds would make up what we couldn't see. My brother and I would often listen to it 2 or 3 times in a row. Exhilarating! Is it available on only audio? I would buy it for each of my grandchildren.
