From Anonymous : I recently taped this short off of the Disney Channel. I just loved the dog. I thought he was really funny. First of all in the short, Goofy walks by the pet store with some sausages in his hand and the puppy sees him. The puppy wants to go home with him in hopes of getting the sausages. Later the cute little puppy grows into a clumsy and chubby dog. As Goofy goes out for the night, the dog sleeps at the doorstep when a robber comes and robs Goofy's house. The dog just sleeps through the whole thing even when the police come and arrest the robber. When Goofy returns, however, the dog barks and runs after him assuming that he is a trespasser (how ironic).

From Nikki : I can't say much that hasn't already been said. Rover was at first an ideal pup with a couple of bugs. But the full size Rover tears up everything. When Goofy is being robbed Rover is just sleeping as the robbers take everything. He is only awakened when Goofy returns in which point Goofy gets cornered.

From Ryan : This is one of my favorite Goofy cartoons of all time. I enjoy Bowser the dog's bumbling, yet alert personality. Bowser looks a little like Pete's dog Muncey in the later Donald Duck cartoon The New Neighbor. I find myself laughing at the ending of the short because of its irony. After Goofy goes out for the night, Bowser is left at home on the front porch. A burglar comes by and walks over Bowser who is fast asleep. The burglar tries to rob Goofy's house, but the cops come and arrest him. None of this seems to wake Bowser up. When Goofy comes home, however, Bowser starts growling at him.

From Baruch Weiss : This sure was a funny cartoon. I'm fact, Bowser (not to be confused with that dinosaur from "Super Mario") reminds me of my current family dog Rusty who has been getting into all sorts of trouble such as peeing in the house!

From Bryan Hensley : Who'd have thunk that Goofy's dog Bowser would be the American name for Mario's archenemy (hence being King of The Koopas)? Anyway, Goofy has a lot of trouble training his dog Bowser ever since he was a puppy. Goofy seemed as if he was going broke for Bowser's damage to the neighborhood, once he became a full-grown pest! Then one night, Goofy went out for the night (Before he got into a taxi, he was singing Zip-a-dee-doo-dah from Song of The South. This movie never came to video in its entirety from Disney, and I don't know why!) While Goofy was away, Bowser guarded the house and slept through a whole burglary and shoot-out scene! When Goofy came home, that's when Bowser barked at his own master and ripped his pants! As for my own dogs at home, they bark at anything and anyONE, including me! I am a dog person, but I've never dealt with so much barking in just 3 months since we adopted our little "Taco dog" Taz! I hope you enjoy this man-and-dog friendship gone absolutely nuts!
