Comments

From Ryan : I assume that this takes place during WWI. In this short, Oswald is a soldier and goes off to fight the enemy. The enemy is a bear who very well could be Pete (Pete originally started off as a bear, then evolved into a cat, then became a dog). This short in my opinion was kind of dumb, but it was better than the "Alice Comedies."
From Mad Professor : This cartoon is more interesting than funny, obviously based on Disney's experiences as a WW1 ambulance driver. But it's full of fast-paced action that 1927 audiences might have found appealing. It's main appeal today is to satisfy one's curiosity about Disney's lesser-known early works.
