Comments

From Lee Suggs : The episode starts off with a cute pun. (Daisy tells the Seven Dwarfs "no minors in the club".) We next see Figaro tagging along behind Pluto, who of course chases him when he sees him. Figaro leads Pluto to Thomas O'Mallery and the Alleycats. The Alleycats look like they're going to stand up to Pluto, but they decide to flee instead. This (of course) occurs when Mickey is introducing their act, so once again they don't perform. (This is obviously going to be a running HOM joke. Minnie is quite angry with Pluto and she wonders if it would be better not to have him at the club. Pluto leaves in shame, and happens upon the Wicked Queen (in her hag form) and Pete. It turns out Pete is buying several of the Queen's famous apples. (I wonder what he's going to use them for? ;o) When he spots Pluto listening he boxes him up and sends him to Katmandu. Pete then carries out his villainous scheme, (remember that those are against the HOM's rules and uses the apples to put the whole HOM staff asleep. (Daisy when she sees Pete disguised as Snow White, "Did she put on a little weight?" LOL) This is especially funny when he gets Goofy since the real Snow White is right there! Just when Pete is about to close the club Pluto reappears to stop him. Pluto knocks Pete down, puts in a Pluto cartoon, and the House of Mouse is saved! After Pluto shows his cartoon Pete is still going to take over the club. (That pesky "the show must go on clause") So Pluto has Dodger, and a whole choir of dogs, sing "Everybody wants to be a Dog". Snow White then appears and tells Pluto he just needs to kiss his friends to re-awaken them. (She even provides the lipstick.) Pluto does his duty and restores the HOM staff, and then gets rid of Pete. (When Mickey gives Pluto permission to dispose of Pete, he identifies Pete as a cat. While I always assumed Pete was a cat, has he ever been identified as such?) Everyone hails Pluto as a hero, and he is restored to his former HOM position. The episode ends with a great ad for "The Evil Queen's Sleeping Apples". Great fun with a cut-away view of a bite of an apple inducing sleep. (The silhouette of Snow White is used for the inside view.) "Prince Charming's Awaking Kiss" is sold separately. LOL

This episode's cartoons were only average, but the HOM happenings made it great fun to watch.
