From Lee Suggs : Donald is down about everyone loving Mickey and ignoring him. Daisy assures him everyone loves him too, but events seem to confirm Donald fears. Donald can't get Huey, Dewey, and Louie to play, but Mickey can; Donald can't divide a salad into seven parts (for guess who), but Mickey's perspective solves the problem; and worse of all Mickey remembers the correct name for a famous DONALD DUCK cartoon that Donald has misidentified. {The cartoon is "Modern Inventions". (1937) It is one of the greatest of the Donald Duck shorts.} At this point Mortimer shows up in the audience because he is hoping for a chance to insult Mickey. (It's open mike night at the HOM.) Mickey decides to get Mortimer first and introduces:

Mickey feels bad about Donald feeling down so he gives him the chance to host the HOM. This is HUGE disaster. (Donald IS hard to understand. ;o) Donald introduces the Angry Villager People. (This is the mob from "Beauty and the Beast", a very clever idea, but it doesn't play out all that well.) Donald ends being the victim of the mob, (the Beast is hiding under a table) who set fire to his tail feathers. To add to Donald's failure, the crowd begins chanting for a Mickey Mouse cartoon which cues:

Mickey finally allows Mortimer on stage where the anti-Mouse begins a series of jokes making fun of Mickey. Everyone boos, except for Donald who thinks Mortimer is great. That is until Daisy reminds Donald that Mickey is his best friend. (I've always thought of Goofy as Mickey's best friend. :o) Donald decides Daisy is right and he throws Mortimer out by his nose. (Donald is a good symbol for the American people who, as Winston Churchill said, "always do the right thing, after they have exhausted every other possibility." ;o) Mickey rewards Donald by playing:

After the episode everyone decides Donald is great too, and we end with a promo for "Donald Duck-Actor". {The Armageddon Movie Poster (featuring Donald as an action hero) is priceless!} We fade out to Mickey and Donald ending the show together :o).
