From Ryan : Donald Duck gets a visit from
his cousin Gus Goose (if Gus is a goose and Donald is a duck, then how can
they be cousins?). On the letter Donald reads, it says P.S. HE DON'T EAT
MUCH. Well isn't Donald in for a big surprise? The scenes with Gus eating
everything on the table was the main form of humor in this short. Another
funny part was at the end where Donald opens the refrigerator and Gus is
snacking on some chicken and his timer points at "Cold Lunch." This is definitely
one of Donald's greatest hits.
-
From Christian : Another fairly good short. It's a shame they don't make them like they used to.
-
From Baruch Weiss : While I enjoyed the musical score during the title presentation of this cartoon it really didn't interest me. Gus Goose is off to Donald's house and makes a pig out of himself and doesn't leave any food for Donald. Then of course Donald gets ticked off and kicks Gus out of his house. It's a shame Weight Watchers didn't come along until years after this short was released. Overall, Gus is an extremely rude member of Donald's Family Tree; Donald did have a lot of food just for himself, but still it wasn't right of Gus to just eat up everything!
