From Anonymous : I remember seeing this short before "Ducktales the Movie" when I was a kid.

From Ryan : This is one of my favorite Donald Duck shorts. I enjoy the scenes where Donald is trying to get the horse to cooperate with him (instead of being tiring, it's actually funny). Donald did not seem to be dressed appropriately for a dude ranch setting. He was wearing an aristocratic riding suit and carried an English saddle rather than a Western saddle.

From Stan : Perhaps my favorite of all the Donald Duck cartoons! The horse constantly outwits Donald and makes a fool out of him. The comedy is actually funny and very clever. The ending is great, when the horse finally gets rid of Donald for good. Donald ends up plopping down on a very angry bull! The horse laughs and makes fun of him, while poor Donald rides off into the desert!

From Tiffany : My brother and I loved this short when we were kids. We especially loved the part where the horse hides behind a haystack and when Donald finds him the horse nonchalantly says "Moo." We rewound the tape over and over just to watch that part. I have to admit it is one of my favorite Donald Duck cartoons.

From Michael K : This is my favorite of all the Donald Duck cartoons I've seen. Unlike most Disney cartoons, the humor is as sharp as the best of the Warner Brothers or Tex Avery shorts. It stands up very well to repeated viewings.

From Baruch Weiss : Donald goes to a dude ranch where there is only one horse and it does not want to cooperate and Donald ends up on a bulls back. Great short! I noticed Donald's whistle sounded the same to the opening of "Out on a Limb."

From Eric C. : This is my all time favorite Donald cartoon. I just can't get enough of it. Especially the part where the horse says "moo."

From P N John : My all time favorite cartoon. I'm fifteen years from my last viewing of the cartoon and I still quote lines from it. Best of all was when Rover Boy got tricked by Donald and said, "Ha, the dames!" As a kid I could quote the whole cartoon we watched it so many times.

From Mike : A very funny Donald cartoon. The horse is just hilarious the whole way. To me the funniest part they each make the other think they have left. It's funny all around.

From N. : My friends and I loved this cartoon and could quote the whole thing by heart. We especially liked the end, when the horse outwits Donald. The look on the horse's face is such an evil grin just before he sticks it to Donald. We once made a (mostly) shot for shot movie of this cartoon. My friend Quinn had a mechanical bull. I played Donald's part and he was Rover Boy since he was good at doing that "I'm gonna skunk you" smile the horse does at the end. Quinn was a stinker, so he kept making us do the end - where I get stuck on the bull - over and over. I don't know how many times I ended up landing on a saddle he had just strapped onto the bull. He liked that part, because he got off on owning me and he thought it was so funny. My butt hurt for a while after doing that, but it was funny.
