From Jerry Edwards : Oilspot and Lipstick are boy and girl dogs, made out of junkyard metal parts. They climb out of a car's trunk to begin a new day. Oilspot manages to rescue Lipstick and defeat the junkyard monster about to eat her. Although very short (about 2 1/2 minutes, without the credits), I find several items of interest in this short. The monster uses a tin can at the end of an appendage as "bait" to lure the dogs to it. The huge monster is "defeated" by a shiny wrench thrown at the monster and hitting it in the head. This comes across as a rather puny effort to defeat such a monster.

Of most interest to me is that it appears to be the first computer animation short done by Disney. It was created for the 1987 SIGGRAPH convention in Anaheim, which was a showplace for various companies' computer animation skills.
