Comments

From Patrick Malone : A reworking of "Lend a Paw" with a little of "Three Orphan Kittens" thrown in. The talkiness that had been mentioned earlier in these shorts works well here, and the lines are getting funnier. ("Liar, liar, thou pants are ablaze." "If I thought you'd practice, I'd give you lessons!") Much of the credit for this goes to the much tougher interplay between Pluto's Devil and Pluto's Angel than previously seen in the classic shorts. The voices were performed by Penn Jillette (of Penn and Teller; the Devil) and Eric Idle (of Monty Python; the Angel) and hearing them, one wonders how much of the dialogue they were allowed to ad-lib, especially in Jillette's case. (It also makes one wonder if we're going to see more celebrity voice-overs coming up.) A fairly standard ending, but a natural one and one that doesn't feel tacked on, as in "Turkey Chasers."

From J. D. Weil : The weakest of the three. Take equal parts of "Lend a Paw", "Mother Pluto" and "Three Orphan Kittens" and mix well. Unfortunatly the whole does not equal the sum of its parts. Well, you can't win 'em all .

From Liz April : Ya know somethin'! This short kind of reminds me of a time when I snuck some kittens in the house. It was when I was about seven or eight years old and my parents were both allergic to furry animals. (The only pets we had were some fish in a king size aquarium). My parents later found out about the kittens like Mickey did with Pluto.

I have seen "Pluto's Kittens" and would like to
