Released along with the Disney live-action feature, "My Favorite Martian."
-
From Rich Bellacera : At first the cartoon
reminded me somewhat of the first Pluto cartoon we reviewed, and I thought
it was going to be that one. But thankfully it was new. The space ship design
looked somewhat 3D, but the colors were very lush, much like "Mickey's New
Car." From the point where Pluto is beamed aboard the ship to the point where
the ship bursts the action is extremely fast paced and goofy in a fun way.
I didn't find myself actually laughing, but I was extremely entertained by
the very brief short.
-
From Patrick Malone : So far, the "Pluto"
series of short-shorts have been my favorite, and this one fits the bill
nicely. Even though it is a standard series of quick-change gags, which seem
to be the stock-in-trade for the short-shorts, most work well. I was a little
confused about the quill pen and parchment gag; what exactly were they getting
at? But the ending gag and the ensuing "Uh-oh" by the aliens made a good
climax.
-
From J. D. Weil : How many times does Pluto
have to get the paper? Maybe Mickey should get it for a change.
-
From Tom : I didn't like it. Just a series
of quick change gags, none of which did I find myself laughing at. This one
had a good ending but then again, I can't really think of an ending to put
on this short.

From Juan F. Lara : The first half of this
short I enjoyed. I liked the camera angles used for the scenes inside the
ship, and all the stretching and poking of Pluto was funny. Then the short
ran through another set of arbitrary quick-change gags, and then in a snap
it was over. I felt unsatisfied.
