From Lee Suggs : A hilarious short!! We begin
with Mickey and Donald playing football inside Minnie's house. Despite Minnie's
warnings they manage to break a picture of Minnie and Daisy. Mickey decides
to replace the picture before the girls get back from shopping. This is where
things really get going. Mickey and Donald go out to get clothes so they
can look like Minnie and Daisy. They succeed in doing this, but can't get
out the store because people keep confusing them with the girls. (It's
interesting how the animators make Donald and Mickey look like out of focus
versions of their respective girlfriends.) We get to see and hear Horace
Horsecollar for the first time in forty or fifty years, and Clarabelle Cow
counsels Donald as Daisy to break up with himself because she/he is starting
to sound like him. Mickey and Donald finally get home, have Goofy do a terrible
job of taking a picture of them, and get caught in the act by the girls.
After explaining to the girls (off camera) why all of their efforts were
necessary "to save the universe", they find out that Minnie and Daisy didn't
like the picture anyway, and that they have their own replacement. A clever,
and throughly entertaining short.

From Rich Bellacera : While somewhat predictable,
it was definitely a fun gag-filled toon. The boys have sure spent a lot of
time in "drag" during this series. This cartoon was also chock full of guest
stars (Mortimer, Chief O'Hara, Horace, Clarabelle, the Nephews, etc.) Of
course, hearing April Winchell doing Clarabelle as goofy and naive was great,
but then to hear her deadpan voice revealing she was very aware that bogus
Minnie and Daisy was actually Mick and Don gave me a big smile! Then Mortimer
doing the same! Apparently only Horace (and Goofy) didn't figure it out.
When the girls had their picture taken at the store the end was obvious,
but still I enjoyed the whole toon.

From Juan F. Lara : Well, not really a "Mickey
Mouse" cartoon. More like a whole-cast cartoon, featuring the Fab Four plus
Daisy, and Mortimer and Clarabelle and even Horace Horsecollar. More on that
below.
Minnie's and Daisy's uncanny resemblences to their boyfriends was worth
parodying. But the makers didn't seem to be able to come up with anything
interesting to do with this idea. The short instead came off as a meandering
collection of unrelated scenes. The makers ate up a lot of time on "who's-on-
first" arguments with Goofy (TWO instead of one, and the first short already
had one even). And actually the large number of cameos also felt like the
makers were using them to pad out the short. Clarabelle's scene didn't make
any sense. What was she getting at if she knew that was really Mickey and
Donald? Some of the jokes were immature, like Mortimer getting caught with
ladies' undies stuck on him. And the resolution felt very unsatisfying.

From Grace : This is one of my favorite Mickey Mouse cartoons! I pretty much laughed so hard when Mickey and Donald had to dress up like Minnie and Daisy, and had to wear makeup such as cheek makeup, lipstick, powder and eyeshadow I mean no wonder anybody can imagine a mouse and a duck dressing up as a girl. Well speaking of girl clothes Mickey and Donald learned a big lesson that never play football in the house, otherwise you what I mean crashing items.
I have seen "Mickey's Big Break" and would like to
