From Rich Bellacera : "Minnie Visits Daisy,
would, I assume be a reversal of the "Daisy Visits Minnie" cartoon. Patrick
was right. I rewatched "Daisy's Road Trip" and it really didn't grate on
me as much the second time around. I still prefer the Daisy from "Quack Pack",
but the bossy, self-centered Daisy does have some roots in early Donald Duck
cartoons, which is why she was paired with Donald in the first place. Anyhow,
upon watching "Minnie Visits Daisy" Daisy managed to be just as annoying
to Minnie as previously, only this time she didn't really have to try. While
I thought Minnie ending up in jail was an odd twist, I see it as Minnie's
lesson... i.e., she let her own ego get the best of her! She should have
given up long ago! It was nice seeing Clara Cluck place an active role, and
the REAL return of Chief O'Hara (the spot in the Holloween cartoon a couple
of weeks ago had Huey, Dewey & Louie deguising themselves as O'Hara briefly).
I'm enjoying the presence of comicbook characters like O'Hara and the Blot!
I hope to see more.

From David Gonterman : It was titled to be
a 'revenge' story from 'Daisy visits Minnie,' but it only turns out to be
living proof that Minnie has a bigger relationship with her trainer than
her relationship with Mickey - Damage to Minnie: Multiple konks on the head,
several falls, two drownings followed by beachings, harassment with 3 species
of sea life including two face-hugging starfish, running through someone's
house - even if it's self-inflicted, it counts - and finally getting arrested
along with her famous apple pie. At least her own kitchen survived.
-
From Juan F. Lara : More fun with Daisy...
Actually, Minnie's troubles had as much to do with her single-mindedness
about delivering the pie as with Daisy's inconsideration. It's interesting
for Minnie to have this character flaw in contrast to her usual pleasant
nature. It was worth the experiment to see how Minnie would fare as a cartoon
violence victim. But in this short Minnie's pratfalls didn't work for me.
The reason why she was determined to see Daisy was inane. Also, the gag sequences
were uninspired. The short featured a contrived reference to Stomp, and a
couple of pratfalls of Minnie that were clumsily staged. The ending reminded
me of how much I dislike Daisy's inconsiderate personality, leaving me feeling
bad about this short. BTW: At least we saw Daisy's house for the first time.
The short also featured a first time cameo by Clara Cluck.
-
From Patrick Malone : I believe that "Daisy's
Sun Tan Oil" may also be the first brand name product in this series not
featuring the "Ajax" brand.
-
From Lee Suggs : Once again the impossible
Daisy drives Minnie to disaster. Minnie is determined to have Daisy try her
famous apple pie. (Why are all of Minnie's dishes famous?) Her attempts to
get Daisy's attention are amusing, and this is the first time I remember
Minnie being the victim of so much violence. The short adds complexity to
Minnie's character (she's just a little obsessive about that pie) and her
reward for her efforts is surprising. A good if not great short.
-
From Eric Lehmann : Great cartoon! I like
the part in which Minnie goes to jail...as does the pie, because Minnie nearly
destroyed Daisy's house.
-
From Sasha : I love this! All Minnie Mouse
cartoons are the best!
I have seen "Minnie Visits Daisy" and would like to
